In December 2024 we had our first local event in Cape Town with a team from Hilti South Africa. The team collected clothes, toys and stationery during the Advent season and an incredible number of full boxes were donated. The Schnauzkrauler Verein is a leisure association from Switzerland that implements a social project every year. For 2024, they have chosen Saam Education as a partner and supported us in designing graduation gifts for our partner schools and sending them to South Africa. In spring 2024, we applied for the LGT Award for Social Engagement and by June we were one of three finalist organizations that were allowed to give a presentation to a jury in the second round. A few weeks later, we received great news! All three finalists were honored. We were given the honor of receiving CHF 40'000 in prize money!
